Unite assistant general secretary, Howard Beckett, today (August 7) told Sky News, “There?s 6,000 staff forced to apply for voluntary redundancy, not on good terms I must say, and in addition to that BA are looking to make further reductions of over 4,000 so BA are looking to make a reduction across their workforce of 30 per cent ? and that will come to a total figure of over 10,000 employees.?
