Amanda Campbell

Amanda Campbell is the editor responsible for the concept, birth and delivery of UNITElive in 2014 – and is still working on the unique news service right up to today.

Amanda has worked for Unite and its predecessor unions for quite a few years. During that time, she’s edited all Unite’s membership magazines and at one point had a print run bigger than the Daily Mirror!

Currently apart from UNITElive, she edits the sector magazines, Landworker and buildingWORKER, as well as the occasional digital magazine, uniteEXTRA.

Amanda’s first job was working as a copy assistant for two obscure trade titles. She then worked for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office where she became very active in her trade union. She left to work for the London Stock Exchange.

Award-winning journalist Amanda then worked for the civil service union, CPSA (now PCS) before finally joining a Unite predecessor.

On a personal note, Amanda was born in Essex, loves history, music, knitting, cats, cheap chocolate and really long multi-season TV dramas that can involve all the previous list of interests!
