Unite regional officer Wayne King: workers pushed "into near working poverty"

Heathrow Unite members took another day of strike action today (February 5) in addition to the four days of strike action they took in December. More strikes are planned for February 9, 13, 16 and 18.

The strike is a direct result of Heathrow Airport Limited’s decision to brutally fire and rehire its workforce, with workers experiencing permanent pay cuts of up to 25 per cent, or £8,000 a year.
