Building the union

Unite construction activists have been out and about this month spreading the benefits of trade union membership, and encouraging fellow workers to join the union – with the help of the latest Building Worker magazine.

The latest edition is packed full of stories, campaigns and features that cover issues close to the heart of workers across the sector.

The edition covers Unite campaign around the dangers of silicosis, how the union is fighting sexual harassment at work, ways to encourage young people to take up a career in construction and how the union has been working with international partners to improve site safety for workers across the world.

Union activists have been taking the message to sites from London to Glasgow, and continue to use the Unite publication as an important recruitment and organising tool.
