Every Vote Matters!

Unite Community members across Wales are hitting the road to encourage people to register to vote in this May’s Senedd Elections.

The month-long Unite Community Wales registration roadshow started this week on Monday (16 Feb) in Abergaveny, and plans to wrap up in Wrexham on March 16. 

Unite members will be visiting towns, villages and cities the length and breadth of to talk about registering to vote, the new voting system in Wales, and anything else the public want to talk about – including why Unite is always there to support working people.

The roadshow will be visiting over 30 locations, so there should be a stall somewhere nearby. The full list of dates and locations is below.

Unite knows that every vote matters, and wants to spread the word in communities to ensure people across Wales don’t miss out on their right to cast a vote this May.

Unite Community Coordinator Mark ‘Pasty’ Turner said, “Join us over the coming weeks as we travel around the country.

“This is about encouraging people to register to vote, which in Wales you can do from 14yrs of age as you can vote at 16.

Secondly, is to help the public understand the proportional representation system that will be used at the Senedd Elections on 7th May.”
