Today (August 23) Unite’s striking Felixstowe port workers were out in force, welcoming the visit of Unite general secretary Sharon Graham.

Addressing the striking members Sharon Graham blasted the owner of Felixstowe ports, saying they had more than enough to profit to pay their hard working dock staff.

She said, “The company [Felixstowe Ports] is making an absolute fortune. it could pay 50 per cent more on your wages and still be in profit. We are asking for 10 per cent. What is the problem?

The company need to come clean and open the books about their untold billions,” she added.

The GS’s visit was a big boost to the strikers who are resolute in their determination to fight for a fair pay rise.

We’ve put together a special photo gallery of the day.
