Make travel to work safer call

Unite has long called on the government to take action to ensure those who are still travelling to work are safe amid the pandemic.

Unite national officer Jerry Swain told LBC this week (January 19) that government and employers must take measures to ensure construction workers’ safety. Many of them are being forced to use public transport, for example, because there is no car park in their workplace.
