‘Nothing more than commodities’ – Unite response to BA’s shameful staff cuts
It now looks like over 10,000 BA staff will lose their jobs
Unite assistant general secretary, Howard Beckett, today (August 7) told Sky News, “There’s 6,000 staff forced to apply for voluntary redundancy, not on good terms I must say, and in addition to that BA are looking to make further reductions of over 4,000 so BA are looking to make a reduction across their workforce of 30 per cent – and that will come to a total figure of over 10,000 employees.”
