United against division

Unite is encouraging members from across the UK to join together with thousands of people at a massive demonstration in London on Saturday March 28th.

The Together Alliance “March to stop the far right” takes place in central London and has the backing of over 50 organisations and hundreds of individuals, who together are saying that enough is enough.

Unite members will gather at the stage on Park Lane, where the march will start, at 12pm, where Unite general secretary Sharon Graham will speak. After that, members will form up at the Unite balloons – make sure you head to the gazebo to pick up flags and whistles and join the bloc.

Unite has been a strong voice against the worrying rise of the right over recent years, and has developed training programmes, such as the “Unity over Division” campaign to highlight the issues to members.

March 28th will be an opportunity to join with thousands of people to make your voices heard, and Unite has been mobilising and organising across the country to bring a message of hope over fear, over recent months in the building up to the demonstration.

Demonstrators will leave Park Lane and march to Whitehall, where they will be met by speakers and singers including Self Esteem, Billy Bragg and UB40. There is also a House Against Hate event in Trafalgar Square starting at 1.00.
