Every day over the festive season, we’re featuring a range of our top videos of the year that show Unite doing what it does best – advancing the jobs, pay and conditions of its members and fighting back against any efforts to diminish workers’ living standards.

Yesterday, in our videos of the year, we saw Unite general secretary Sharon Graham in action, standing on the picket line alongside Weetabix workers who were fighting fire and rehire in their workplace. Today, we hear from Sharon again, when she gave an inspiring speech at this year’s TUC conference about why unions must fight fire and rehire both in their workplaces and in the halls of power.
