As Covid-19 cases, hospitalisations and deaths surge across the UK, hospital staff are struggling to cope, with hospitals being overwhelmed by patients.
Unite rep and ICU nurse Ameera Sheik told Channel 5 News just how bad things have got, with staff suffering from severe anxiety and PTSD. Many of her colleagues, she said, resigned after the horrors of the first wave of the virus, which has lead to staff shortages. Find out more in the video below:
