Every day over the festive season, we’re featuring a range of our top videos of the year that show Unite doing what it does best – advancing the jobs, pay and conditions of its members and fighting back against any efforts to diminish workers’ and their families and communities’ living standards.

Today we look back at a Unite Community protest in August in the seaside town of Bridlington, where families gathered to send a message with a giant work of beach art imploring chancellor Rishi Sunak to cancel the £20 cut to Universal Credit. Although the cut went through in October, Unite Community continues to fight against it.

In the film below, hear from families who explain what the cut to Universal Credit will mean for them.
